In 1959, First Baptist Church of Burleson, Texas and the Johnson County Baptist Association joined together to purchase three acres of land.  Crestmont Baptist Church was declared to be an independent, self-supporting church on October 8, 1967. 

Under the leadership of the nine pastors who have served the church, we have completed five stages of building expansion. 

1961, the original building and educational space was completed
1968, an additional two-story education building was completed
1976, the new worship center, educational space and office suite was completed
1981, the office suite was remodeled and enlarged
1986, the Family Life Center was completed and dedicated
1995, the sanctuary was remodeled
1995, a major plan to pay off the church's bonds early was begun
2002, the church becomes debt free
2004, the youth area (The Dungeon) had technological renovations
2005, the Preschool and Children's Departments were renovated
2009, the childrens meeting room (The TANK) was renovated and enlarged
